Serious Journalism celebrates its 100th Episode this week. "A Weirdo Rock Adventure" says Bass Amp! Found on 88.1 FM KDHX St. Louis, MO. A radio show that's destined to qualify for mass distro and syndication. Opening with "Josey and the Pussy Cats" and closing with AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" played at 33RPM. The Hell-a-Ba-Loo is the in-between folks! Put the kids to bed, crack open another bottle, light up and prepare for your ears to be hollowed out, your mind to scrambled, and if you possess a soul, WATCH OUT!
Midwest culture rumors Serious Journalism is responsible for at least 250 new unplanned pregnancies, while sub-culture claims it invokes spirits of the living and disturbs the dead. Law enforcement calls for riot back-up, religious leaders bring out the holy water, perform exorcisms as preparing for the coming apocalypse. Music lovers and musicians enjoy the show as they put another bottle to bed while making more unplanned pregnancies.
Psychiatric associations’ note: sarcasm is a sign of intelligence; humor is strength in character and managing conflict is a true art and science. Bass Amp has hit or displayed these notes in one sentence. Careful, Bass is watching, listening and commenting on matters of the day in his own way. Using wit, humor and a sense of moral direction (?) Serious Journalism can also be described as anything-but. The music is a haphazard, albeit quite lovely, mix of scratchy punk, soul and rock and roll records all wrapped in wild comforting insane chatter displaying unique sound waves say recent program guests, as Bass just lays it out.
A true Weirdo Rock Adventure this KDHX radio show is like none other. How does one even compare? Matters of the day discussed in, at times, unseemly odd unconventional ways to say the least. From ranting and raving, to enchanting and misbehaving Bass Amp is SERIOUS JOURNALISM a new kind of Weirdo Rock Adventure.
Congratulations to Bass and KDHX on the 100th show anniversary. Frankly, most new shows never see that day but not Bass Amp because he did it his way. His listeners are his number one priority at Serious Journalism.
