American hairdresser, podcast host, activist and television personality Jonathan Van Ness—better known by his initials, JVN—will launch a haircare line spanning 10 products across four collections that will leave hair of all types – regardless of age and gender – happy and healthy, Happi reported last week

Now, JVN Hair will launch on Tuesday, August 31 on JVNhair.comSephora.com and in Sephora stores on Sept. 17. The news was revealed earlier in the year, as reported in Happi.

The hair care line champions inclusivity, sustainability, accessibility and efficacy, while encouraging users to “come as you are.” All products within the Nurture, Embody, Undamage and Complete Collections are sustainable and powered by hemisqualane, a silicone alternative derived from sugarcane that penetrates the hair shaft to provide weightless nourishment, reduce frizz and preserve color, while adding softness shine, bounce and body, according to the company.

Undamage Collection: Designed for hair that has endured a person’s creative impulses to bleach, color heat style, the Undamage Collection consists of a strengthening shampoo and conditioner duo fortify damage. The Undamage Strengthening Shampoo ($18) is made with ceramides that help to repair split ends and lock in moisture, and jojoba esters that increase strength by filling in cracked cuticles. A rich lather gently cleanses and fortifies delicate, over-processed hair without stripping essential moisture. The Undamage Strengthening Conditioner ($18) is also made with ceramides and hydrolyzed quiona, a natural protein for hair color retention and damage repair. The cream conditioner smooths and detangles hair while restoring damage and adding shine.

Embody Collection: For hair with big dreams, the Embody Collection allows users to take up the space their hair deserves. The body-building shampoo and condition tag-team work together to add fullness. The Embody Daily Volumizing Shampoo ($18) contains caffeine to help stimulate follicles and scalp to encourage healthy hair growth and aloe leaf juice to hydrate hair and soothe the scalp. Safe on color-treated hair, the transparent gel shampoo creates a clarifying and stimulating rich lather that enhances thickness. Made with vitamin B7, which helps to improve hair thickness, the Embody Daily Volumizing Conditioner ($18) works to boost volume while working to improve thickness while adding bounce and vitality to limp strands.

Complete Collection: JVN’s Complete Collection is designed for hair of all types. The Complete Instant Recovery Serum ($28) contains niacinamide to support keratin repair to restore shine in even the most damaged hair. The Complete Pre-Wash Scalp Oil ($28) is to be used before shampoo to promote stronger and healthier-looking hair. Made with basil root extract to minimize hair loss, this scalp oil hydrates, cleanses and calms the scalp with bisabolol, which is derived from chamomile to soothe. Natural curls? The Complete Air Dry Cream ($24), made with moringa seed oil to add softness and shine, can be applied to towel-dried hair after the shower to add a buildable, touchable hold that allows your natural texture to shine and reduce frizz.

Nurture Collection: For dry hair in need of a hydrating relationship, the Nurture Collection comes with a Nurture Hydrating Shampoo ($18) and Conditioner ($18) and a deep moisture mask ($24) to restore moisture and luster when used together.
