The mask itself is purple (though the color doesn't transfer to hair) to reflect damaging UV rays from the sun that speed up the color-fading process, according to the brand. And right now, it's on sale.
It's also easy to use. To restore the color you initially fell in love with and bring some silkiness back to your hair, give it a good wash and towel dry, then apply the mask all over from root to ends. Let it sit for five minutes and rinse thoroughly. Most shoppers say they use it once per week (though a few reach for the mask more frequently), and they couldn't be happier with the results.
