Another TikToker walked viewers through a tutorial on how-to achieve the “new” Bumpit style that’s making a quick return. She takes a claw clip and brushes the front pieces of her hair back, stops on the crown of her head and lets the hair work its magic while slightly pushing forward to achieve that pouf. Might this be a new way to rock the claw clip hairstyle that TikTokers love so much?

Many millennials can agree that some of the Y2k nostalgia overload may be a bit of a cringe moment and blatant reminder on some of our—dare we say—embarrassing decisions. However, gen z’s love of the past is a sweet reminder that not all things need to go out of style (no matter how much we wish them to).

And hey, at least they’re using claw clips instead of the Bumpit inserts.
