Gwyneth Paltrow’s vagina-scented candle may have sold out immediately, but you’d think that as a daytime television host, Kelly Clarkson would get some kind of priority. That said, Clarkson’s lack of priority became abundantly clear this week when Paltrow shocked The Kelly Clarkson Show host with her love of “Wet Ass Pussy.” Both the song and the physiological response, I assume.
Obviously, some context is required to understand the above paragraph. On Tuesday, Paltrow appeared virtually on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and the two got to talking about music. A few minutes later, Clarkson followed up on the topic, but she most certainly got more than she’d bargained for.
“I have to ask, what are some songs you go to when you’re down?” asked Clarkson.
“‘Wet Ass Pussy,'” replied Paltrow, with zero — and I mean ZERO — hesitation.
Clarkson immediately lost it, and she proceeded to fumble around her set as she laughed her head off. “Oh my god! I’m done! I’m done!,” said the host, as she melted back into her chair. “I literally — I need to see the tape back. Because I was like — I felt like I was like, ‘Oh. Wait, what?!'”
“That was amazing! God, you win for favorite guest this season,” continued Clarkson. “I needed that in my SOUL.”
For her part, Paltrow didn’t seem to understand what all the fuss is about (she is a staunch preacher of all things vagina, of course). She quietly laughed along as Clarkson rolled around The Kelly Clarkson Show set, and it was very clear that she was unsure of whether to continue listing her uplifting songs or to just let this all play out before her.
To be honest, I would like to know what else Gwyn listens to when she’s feeling down, but it seems as if the moment’s passed. Maybe we’ll get a “My Neck, My Back (Lick It)” themed campaign in the future?
