A young Macca’s worker allegedly tried to carry out an armed robbery at a Heidelberg West brothel after trying to get some action with no cash.
A young man allegedly tried to hold up a madam at a Heidelberg West brothel after he arrived with no way to pay for the service.
Aaron Millin, 21, fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, facing a charge of armed robbery.
The court heard Millin was caught on CCTV pulling a knife on the duty manager at Pussy Galore Brothel just after 1.30am on March 29.
Millin had arrived at the brothel alone and had been introduced to two escorts right before the alleged incident.
The manager was asking Millin if he would like to make a booking with one of the escorts when he allegedly pulled a flick knife out of his pants and pointed it at her, demanding money.
The woman ran to a back room and Millin allegedly tried to follow her, but the two escorts helped her push him out of the staffroom doorway.
They then held the door shut and Millin allegedly ran from the brothel.
Police told the court Millin was very cooperative police when they searched his Heidelberg West family home on March 31 and he allegedly fully confessed to the crime.
He allegedly told police he knew he needed $150 to pay for an escort at the brothel but had arrived without cash or his bank card.
His lawyer pushed for him to be bailed to live with his parents and under the supervision of the Court Integrated Services Program.
The court heard the McDonald’s employee, who appeared via videolink from prison with a black eye, had just been assaulted in custody and risked spending too long inside waiting for the matter to resolve.
Magistrate Zebrowski agreed to bail Millin, ordering he comply with a 9pm to 6am curfew and banning he not go within 200m of the brothel.
