Start with the left section in your left hand, the right section in your right hand, and the center section hanging loose down the middle of your head. Take the section from the left in your left hand and cross it over the middle section of hair, grabbing it with your right hand; your right hand now should hold the left section of hair crossed over the middle section as well as the right section, and your left hand should be holding the middle section. Next, pull the left just-crossed-over section to the center of your head — this is now the middle section. Cross the right section in your right hand over the middle section to become the new middle section, pulling to tighten.
