Maggie Rogers Debuts Short Hair - Teen Vogue

jembutikal.blogspot.com

If you’ve been toying with the idea of taking a pair of scissors to your hair since March, Maggie Rogers’s new ‘do is going to send you over the proverbial edge.

The singer-songwriter’s haircut journey began mid-September, when she showed off a fresh lob, with her light brown hair falling in perfect beachy waves atop her shoulders. “About time,” Maggie quipped, also posting a snap of the discarded hair at her feet.

Then, on October 2, Maggie returned to IG to unveil the sequel to her hair transformation, writing: “Solo chop round 2. New era love her.” Like before, she teased fans with a glimpse of the cut’s remnants before showing off what is now a slightly-shorter-than chin-length bob. Her wavy hair is perfectly textured in the pic, and the side part allows her swooping long bangs to fall right over her eyebrow. This new beauty chapter is absolutely a chic one — and we say that having penned literal love letters to Maggie’s hair in the past.

Of course, cutting your hair yourself is no easy feat, but if Maggie’s got you feeling inspired, there are some things you should know. First of all, before you commit to a cut, it might be a good idea to try a wig or two just to be sure you’re really going to love a major change. If and when you're ready to actually take the plunge, make sure you invest in some real hair-cutting scissors — not your kid sister’s craft scissors or the pair your mom has in the kitchen. As hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons recently explained to Allure, “The reason that stylists use shears versus the ones sitting in your junk drawer at home is because the sharp, precise blades allow you to be much more exact and make it easier to get clean lines and edges.”

And if you’re really feeling adventurous (or you’ve watched one too many TikToks), you can always try cutting some fringe too. New era? Like Maggie, we love to see it.
